digging fills presents a thirty foot audio video environment centered around a 3D lenticular print series. It reveals a place where the uncanny and the supernatural meet the grim everyday. The environment is built from a palette of television snow: the greyscale of static noise. What once flickered with millions+ colors now renders a dissolved shell through checkered lenses. The work and its imposing backdrop evoke a computer wilderness drifting through some slow illusion. These are documents of a decaying digital age partly imagined, partly observed.
A sound installation made in collaboration with Christopher Dougleris accompanies the show. A weekly event series will take place throughout the duration of the exhibition featuring screenings from
October 30 – Jessica Ciocci (Paper Rad)
November 4 – M. Geddes Gengras and Miko Revereza’s “Refractions” VHS release party feat. live performance from Gengras
November 6 – Devin Flynn (Y’all So Stupid) and Takeshi Murata
November 13 – PFFR (‘Wonder Showzen’ and ‘Xavier Renegade Angel’)
November 20 – Show Cave along with Cartune Xprez’s most recent cartoon program, ‘CMPTR PLYMTHZ’.
All screenings will begin at 8pm.

Synchronicity is an art gallery but in practice it is so much more. Located in East Hollywood in Los Angeles, its doors are open to a community of contemporary thinkers whose goal is to make thoughtful and intelligent work without limiting themselves to a specific medium. Synchronicity hosts exhibitions, screenings, performances, and parties. Staying active within the community and also bringing others into it remains the space’s most important goal.
